Embedded Linux industry veteran David Beal will speak at the Embedded Systems Conference in Boston next week. In his new role as “manager of product management” with Jaluna, Beal will join Jaluna's senior field application engineer, Glen Call, in a presentation about Jaluna's virtual infrastructure software platform.

Beal joined Lineo in 2000, with the acquisition of Zentropix, a 1998 startup focused on real-time Linux. He went on to head the Embedix tools division at Lineo, and served as director of embedded tools at Metrowerks after Metrowerks acquired Lineo.

At ESC Boston, Beal and Call will “discuss how device manufacturers can save money, reduce bill of materials and prevent vendor lock-in by implementing Jaluna's virtual infrastructure software platform.”

The event is set for 1:30 – 3:30 PM on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.
